I have been a member for 6 years but am finally giving up on this club. Quality has always been iffy and prices on the high side. However for those in Marin there is not much choice. The last straw really has been their attitude. They never were overly friendly. Lately the wait has been awful and they act as if they are doing you a favor. On my last trip the person checking cards was nodding off and service was just terrible. Hate to give up on a local club but they think they have a monopoly and I am done here.

I’m not the one to write reviews but I am going to keep it short and to the point. I have been to this club three times before. All three times I have walked out disappointed. I was shocked to see them even think its okay to sell what they sold me. The weed is so dry and crappy and the normal buds looked like minis. Then when I asked to see their minis, I laughed. HONESTLY PEOPLE DON'T GO TO THIS CLUB! If you don’t believe me you should go yo the club so you can see for yourself. Walked in wanting to spend no more than 350. Instead spent 40. On my way to San Fran tomorrow were you actually get some good bud.

Before I go any further, I hope nobody will mind if I say, "Thank you MAMM ownership for the great sacrifices you've made in your life in order to save mine!"

From a patient's perspective, this is perhaps the best club in the area. Virtually everything about this operation tells you this club is about patients and not about profits. The most outstanding example is their policy of allowing returns/refunds. I don't believe any other club does this. Many people have conditions that only certain strains of marijuana can alleviate. If you buy the wrong strain at another club, you are out of luck. Considering that so many terminally ill have an income below poverty level, this policy can literally be a life saver. The only complaint I have heard is that their prices are so low that some patients were overwhelmed by the strength and potency of the medicine they purchased.

When deciding what club to patronize, please remember that Marin Alliance has been one of the very first clubs and has been a strong, strong political proponent of patient's rights even before the passing of Prop. 215.

Again, thank you all for everything you have done and sacrificed on our behalf.

The worst club I have ever been to. They make you go get a marin license on top of the regular card, why should anyone have to jump through more hoops to get their medicine? The quality of their product is lousy, they are arrogant, and the location is very inconvenient.

In closing, they suck bigtime, avoid them like the plague.

The worst club ever!!!

1. Long waits, for what I am not sure. How long does it take to decide and then weigh out? It shouldn't be 20 minutes per patient, I got stuff to do.

2. The attitudes are just priceless. I guess they are tired of answering the question of why it's so much for such crappy dried out meds priced way too high and they just justify it by saying, "Hey, you could spend more if you went to the city." That just preys on the sick/homebound patients that can't make that drive.

3. I am tired of being asked by people to buy them pot in that stupid parking lot, beware!! You can't buy medicine for other people, it's a trap that Fairfax has set up and endorses by way of making people pay for their generosity and sense of compassion for other people.

4. Don't believe anything from this club. From info on plant numbers to their free lawyer, or even the fake, we'll pick you up for a doctor or to even get some medicine. It's all fake!! Call up yourself and see!!

To the readers of San Francisco Cannabis Clubs.com

Please all behold, it's me out from the shadow of MAMM to tell all that will listen to my experience at Marin Alliance and as I have seen on Craig's list. This could be the worst club ever.

My name is Darren Foti, just so there is no confusion on who to send the cease and desist to. I have the 1st one up on my fridge, it's hilarious! It's scanned and it will be posted soon along with the original letter I wrote to the ASA group in January. Stay tuned.

As a self proclaimed "Ambassador to ASA", they served me a notice from their lawyer to not talk about my terrible experience with this club.

This is a true experience and I do have documents to prove this.

I, Darren Foti, came to the club 2 minutes after 5:00 or whenever they decided to inconveniently close. The open sign was still saying “open”. I knock on the door as I see them finishing up. The owner sees me and comes to the door. I ask her if I could quickly get some medicine for the night and next day or so. She straight out asks me, “How much you want?”. I say I have enough for a 1/4 oz., of overpriced mid grade. They justify that you have to spend money on gas and toll to get some real good meds, which preys on they people that are too sick to make the trip over to SF.

Back to the point, she says “Just a quarter?”, like 120 bucks is not even worth staying open 2 minutes to make sure a patient got their medicine for the night. So in the back pipes-up this surfer-guy, saying he's gotta be somewhere at 5:30 and has got to no matter what be there at 5:30. Then, he proceeds to remind me that a bank wouldn't stay open for a customer. I was a 2 year member there, they knew where I live, where I work. Hell, I even took the owner to the airport, twice!!!!

So I try again to say they are not a bank, and even so I think a bank would stay open. I would keep my store open 2 minutes longer to make a 120 dollars sale when the mark up is so high. How much is going back to the patients in Marin?? Hell, even in Fairfax??

I get the door slammed in my face and I am pissed. I get back to work where I left from to accommodate their stupid hours, and as I am walking back to work I leave a message. The message runs out, but I still got some stuff to say. I call back and give them some more.

Guess what? It's 5:30 and guess who comes into my place of business? It's the surfer guy from the club in fairfax.. He walks in to my place of work and says, "Let's go “talk” out side". I go out with him to the parking lot aside the building. He has his moto gear on but starts to throw down his helmet and gloves, trying to get me to fight him.

He knows I was in some legal trouble, that actually stems from this stupid club. They swore up and down that 60 plants were a “safe” amount of plants to grow your self. Straight from the mouth of the D.A.
Which for some of us Marin patients and members of the Fairfax club got no help, in fact got referred a lawyer that took $1500 just to deny my case. Beware of free lawyers at this club, they are not real.

So, a 6’2”, 200 lbs surfer guy trying to fight me, trying to get me to swing first. Then he was doing the "try to make you flinch" thing while I am walking back into work. Then, the genius decides to go and tell my employers that I smoke medical marijuana. Big mistake. Now I think that the owner sent the guy over to intimidate me and if she didn't, there was no reprimand when the San Anselmo PD came over to say hello

To sum up my review:
Bad service
Over price mid grade posing as high grade
Terrible hours
Did I mention bad attitudes?
The long wait. Why does it take 15 min to make a selection?
You know why they call numbers for patients? Because that's all we are to them, a number with a dollar sign on the side. Their little cash cows.
Unreliable information.
No legal help. I know 2 cases that are even worse off.
No support for those that have had some legal trouble. ”We're not going to put much time into it” really does not help patients of Marin.

I was driving 3-4 times a week to get my medicine in the city after they banned me for speaking my mind on their message machine. Thanks for doing that, I got some great photos of the city, got better medicine, and now I really know my way around the city and some of the best clubs to go in the city. That's some thing good of all this crap review.

After having Federal agents outside my door for 13 years, (until Obama) I find the fake criticisms of my club very amusing! I never go online, but I was alerted to a very few envious people writing about my club as if there was something wrong with it! If there is something bad going on, why have we had a license for 13 years and no one else qualifies, anywhere in Marin?

That is because we have a wonderful service with great medicine. We have had to kick out a few people who lie, cheat, steal or threaten. Since they are the only ones that are disgruntled, those types are the source of all the silly, nasty lies about us. Lol.

We have the best, forget the rest! Now we offer rebates for the State IDs the Town makes us require. Soon we get to open our Grow Shop next door. Thanks for all the attention drawn to us, you mystery haters! We know who you are, and your karma will get you. As for MAMM, we are very proud to be legally open since 1997, the longest standing licensed pot club in the nation.

Thanks for supporting the Marin Alliance, everyone, we will be Open Forever, like I promised a long time ago.

The Marin Alliance is being libeled and attacked unfairly by jealous pot peddlers who can't get a license. They have the best stuff, the nicest people working there and they even have a money-back guarantee on their smoke-ables! They have withstood 12 years of Feds and have defended tons of patients. Good going, MAMM! Never mind those liers and slandering fools, you guys, keep doing what you do! We love the Marin Alliance - and anyone who says something bad was no doubt kicked out for threatening the staff, or worse.

Worst club in bay area, and I've been to almost all of them, in oakland, san francisco and sonoma county. The only club I've been to that requires a state issue card. The person who claims this club 5 stars and 50 cases won ect. obviously is the owner. I stopped going there because of the lack of variety, the long wait times, bad business hours, bad location, dry medicine, and overall uncomfortable experience.

Terrible club, overpriced medicine that is too dry. They claim to offer legal help, but actually don't, that's why their policy is very vague. Only club I know that requires a state issue card. This club is profit driven, and not patient oriented. I do not recomend this club unless as a last resort.

Wonderful dispensary staffed by kind and caring people. They offer a money back guarantee and have been licensed since 1997! The Marin Alliance has consistent great quality and they go the extra mile for patients. They even will give you a free attorney to defend you if you get busted for your medicine. They have won over 50 cases, so law enforcement officers don't bother the CBC Marin members. Since they are open every day and five nights I have found it easy to access.

You can even call the Town of Fairfax Police and they will tell you where the Club is located. How cool is that.

The staff are "sullen" at best. No one is friendly. The worst part is that there is a 54 year old bird locked in a cage all day in the club. The person who guardians this bird says that the bird never gets out of the cage, even at home. What a depressing sight.

And does that behavior on the part of the birds caretaker exemplify the spirit of cannabis - I think not. I refuse to patronize this place until this bird is given the right to have some freedom.

Wow. This place is amazingly uncomfortable, small, and all around unorganized. They store the meds out in the air to parish quickly. They only had 3 strains on the board when I last went. Nothing good. I asked about the other clubs in the area and they said they didn't exist and that they were the only club around.

Really? I've been to the other clubs and they have a way bigger selection and better prices. It's sad, they say they are about the patients yet they make you jump through hoops to even get your meds, it's sad.

Sorry Marin Alliance you officially lost my business.

Everyone I know says the same thing. The people at this dispensary act like they are doing a big favor for you. They have attitude. Also, there is a 54 year old bird sitting in a cage, all day.

The guy who works there, who takes the bird to work, says that he never lets the bird out of the cage, even at home. It makes me want to cry to see that bird trapped in the cage. Two of my neighbors say the same. I won't go there anymore.

This is the oldest, most established club in Marin, and one of the originals to operate in California. After 13 years you would think that the people here would have it together and run a seamless operation. Sadly, no.

Their identification system, requiring their card and the state card, which is not mandatory under Prop 215. According to law, all a patient needs is a valid letter of recommendation from a licensed physician, and one form of ID such as a drivers license. They should drop this hoop they make their patients jump through.

They do not prepackage their meds and leave their stash open to the air. Worse, their meds vary in quality, from poor to very good. I suspect their best meds would be better if it wasn't so poorly stored. I believe new competition may inspire these folks to run a better operation.

I've heard many complaints about how they were treated by the staff, but I was always treated in a friendly and courteous manner. If you live in Fairfax/San Anselmo this is the most convenient club; otherwise I recommend you check out the new clubs open in Corte Madera and Novato. We now have choices in Marin and can shop around.
