Sonoma County Board of Supervisors to Vote on Dispensary Permit
Tomorrow, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors will vote on the first dispensary permit since the
ordinance went into effect in April of this year. This vote will be the first and possibly the last permit vote for the dispensary, Creekside Medicinal Organics.
The collective has met every stipulation of the county's ordinance with one small exception. The land parcel site is 53 feet from
residential zoning. The ordinance rule is 100 feet. The physical building, however, located over two hundred feet from
the residential zoning, but because parcel line is only 53 feet away, the permit is being recommended for denial. There is still a possibility that the supervisors will approve the permit due to a zoning loophole in the ordinance. This is why we need as many people as possible to come out and show your support!
Safe access for patients must be protected in Sonoma County. We need patients and and supporters to come out and ask the Board of Supervisors to protect patients' rights and to keep access safe in Sonoma County. Patients should not be forced to go to the underground market for medicine. We need as many people as possible to attend the hearing. This is the first facility up for a permit since the ordinance passed, and could have a major impact on safe access to medical marijuana in the Sonoma area.
