Board of Supervisors Meeting to Consider Resolution for Recent DEA Raids
| By Americans for Safe Access | Published April 27, 2009 |
This Tuesday April 28, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors will consider a resolution condemning recent federal raids of city-sanctioned medical marijuana facilities.
The resolution, authored by Supervisor David Campos, calls for the immediate cessation of federal raids, for the U.S Attorney General to further clarify the new federal policy on medical marijuana, and for Congress to conduct oversight hearings on the issue. It also urges the federal government to drop all charges in pending medical marijuana cases and to return improperly seized property.
The supervisors will be accepting public comment on the resolution on Tuesday afternoon at their regular meeting at City Hall.
Please attend Tuesday’s board meeting to show your support for medical marijuana and this important resolution!
