Ken Hayes was arrested in 2002 after the DEA raided the Harm Reduction Center in San Francisco. Hayes faced the charge of conspiring to grow more than 1,000 marijuana plants, but was in Canada at the time of his indictment and remained out of the country until late 2008. On April 29, 2009, Hayes pled guilty to maintaining a building where marijuana was distributed and filing a false tax return.

Ken Hayes was arrested in Feb 2002, after the DEA raided the Harm Reduction Center in San Francisco. Hayes faced the charge of conspiring to grow more than 1,000 marijuana plants, but was in Canada at the time of his indictment and remained out of the country until late 2008. On April 29, 2009, Hayes pleaded guilty to maintaining a building where marijuana was distributed and filing a false tax return.
Hayes' sentencing will take place in front of Judge Breyer's Court: Courtroom 8, 19th floor, San Francisco Federal Building, 450 Golden Gate Avenue (between Polk and Larkin Sts.), San Francisco.

The attorney for Ken Hayes, William Panzer advised the court today that an agreement has been reached for a change of plea. The case has been continued to Wednesday, April 29th at 2:15 pm, Courtroom 8, 19th floor, 450 Golden Gate Avenue (between Polk and Larkin Streets), San Francisco.
Court support is needed. Get out to the federal building and stand with Ken Hayes as we continue to test Obama's word on using federal resources to prosecute medical cannabis cases. If you can get there, we need you; we need as many people there as possible. Go for Ken, if for nothing else.
