San Francisco Board of Supervisors to Vote on Legislation
| By Alex Franco ASA San Francisco | Published February 25, 2008 |
The San Francisco Board of Supervisors to vote on resolutions that protect dispensaries from closure. These two resolutions greatly benefit the patient community in San Francisco. The first resolution actively condemns the DEA for its cowardly letter-writing campaign that has threatened to shut down safe access in the City. The second declares that the City will not close down collectives at least until we have an ordinance that reflects the deadline extension necessary to protect ourselves from Federal Intervention.

"Hello, my name is _________________, and I work with Americans for Safe Access, San Francisco/East Bay . Thank you for giving me the opportunity to speak on this important issue. I am a patient/supporter/San Francisco resident. Medical Cannabis facilities are in the process of becoming city-sanctioned, legal operations. It is crucial that the DEA does not interfere with this process. Please vote yes on Items 52 and 57. Thank you."
