Dear Patients, Activists, Supporters, Neighbors and Friends,
We are excited to announce the date of our Public Hearing before the San Francisco Planning Commission to earn our Medical Cannabis Dispensary Permit. Our hearing is scheduled for September 20th, 2007 at San Francisco City Hall, Room 400. The meeting starts at 1:30p, but we won’t know exactly when we’ll be heard until the agenda is printed next week. As soon as we know what item number our case is, we’ll let you know.
The hearing will begin with a presentation by Aaron Starr of the Planning Department, followed by a presentation by Nicole and Martin, and our Architect, Les Young. Our presentation will include our plans for a brand new, fully ADA accessible facility, a description of who we are and our many years of positive community outreach. After that, it opens up for Public Comment before the Planning Commission, which then votes on whether to approve our permit application or not.
We have always gone above and beyond the call of duty to be a model dispensary and have always found pride in our high quality of service and compassion. We are confident that all our years of hard work will shine through, but we still need your help and support. Now more than ever, we need you to send emails, write letters, and attend the hearing and speak in support of us continuing to provide the highest caliber of compassion in San Francisco.
If you can make it to the hearing on September 20th, please come and speak in support of the Vapor Room. We will be providing shuttle service for our supporters to City Hall throughout the day from the Vapor Room at 609A Haight Street. We also need letters and emails of support sent this week to the SF Planner handling our application. Have your friends and family send letters as well, especially those who live in the Lower Haight.
