SAN FRANCISCO - A full week after the Marijuana Policy Project challenged Giuliani, Romney, and McCain to prove their statements regarding medical marijuana were true, no presidential candidate had an official response.
The MPP is not asking these candidates to change their view, but to simply provide proof that what they say on the campaign trail is true. The prize? A $10,000 campaign contribution, the maximum allowed by law.
Why would any of these presidential candidates want to lose out on that kind of cash for simply providing evidence their claims are the truth?
Even worse, how could any presidential candidates afford to have the public view them as a liar? America is not about to vote in another liar as president.
Giuliani, Romney, and McCain, if you do not respond to the MPP, millions of people will assume you have been lying to us throughout this entire campaign.
On the flip side, if these candidates can provide evidence of their claims, not only will their coffers be filled, but also they would have gained the respect, trust, and credibility of millions of Americans who will be voting for President in 2008.
Do Not Be Ignored
Call these presidential candidates and demand that they respond to the Medical Marijuana Challenge. This issue will definitely be weighing in when we go to cast our ballots in 2008. Let the candidates know it as well.
How do you plan to respond to the MPP's Medical Marijuana Challenge?
